Skyfactor, in partnership with The Association of College and University Housing Officers-International (ACUHO-I), developed the Benchworks Resident Assessment to gain insight into resident’s perceptions of how the housing experience has impacted learning outcomes. The assessment is based on professional standards developed by ACUHO-I and The Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) and provides insight into which learning outcomes and key dimensions of the program are the strongest and which areas need to be improved. During the 2013-2014 academic year, 330,504 students completed the assessment. This research note explores how living in on-campus housing enhances learning outcomes.
